Currents – The Death We Seek

Nadat Currents in 2020 het album The Way It Ends uitbracht, bleef het even stil rond de Amerikaanse metalcoreband. Maar nu treedt Currents weer uit de schaduw met de ruige nieuwe single The Death We Seek. Ondersteund door stevige, moddervet aangezette gitaren stort Brian Wille een zwartgallige tekst over ons uit. ‘The sky, it swells and sings; begging for death at the hands of our misery/Blind pride was our disease, the world will feel the sting.’ Een overtuigende terugkeer van Currents kunnen we wel zeggen. Of The Death We Seek het eerste voorproefje van een nieuw album is, is nog niet bekend.
